The Story
It was the year 2301 when they left Earth. They managed to escape before it was completely destroyed. The humans decided it was best to leave; due to the destruction of the O zone layer the planet was barely inhabitable. Some remained and the rest decided that the only hope for the human race was to find another planet to inhabit. Groups of ships left earth in search for a new planet. A further 56 years passed by and only one ship remained, resources were getting desperately low and the ship was on its last power source when they stumbled upon a planet. They only had enough power left on the ship to scan the planet’s atmosphere, discovering that it was a breathable atmosphere and as this planet was there last hope they had no choice but to land and take their chances on the surface with little knowledge of the planets resources and wild life.
They stepped from the ship and breathed fresh air for the first time in 56 years. They stood there for some time just feeling the cool air breeze on their faces and admiring the scents as all the new but somewhat familiar scents were taken in. With minimal tools and resources they begin to build a colony. There technology and weaponry was limited because of what they were able to take on board the ship with them. They manage to build huts and shelters for themselves; they setup a community of workers. Men and women learnt to fight as it quickly became apparent that the wild life was not easy to defend against. Some men and women separated from the main colony and set off to discover the far reaches of the planet in search of new resources. Few have returned but those that did reported seeing sites of prehistoric type beasts and great ancient ruins as if the world was once inhabited.
It has been noticed that the newly born are born with unique abilities; they are born with extra senses which are not fully understood. Some believe that it has something to do with the ancient ruins and active ancient technology. As the newborns get older they learn to use these unique abilities to their advantage, some are able to heal quicker than others, some can control base elements in the palms of their hands and some abilities are impossible to describe.
